Author Biographies

Rita Headington, School of Education University of Greenwich

Rita is a senior lecturer and associate teaching fellow in education. She teaches in the School of Education’sDepartment of Primary Education and on the university’s Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education.Rita’s interest in feedback and assessment developed from her extensive experiences in primary and highereducation. Her ongoing doctoral study is exploring undergraduates’ experiences of feedback.

Hetty Barron

Hetty, Duncan and Michael were initial teacher training students and student ambassadors in the School of Education when the ‘food for thought’ research was undertaken. Duncan is due to complete his studies in2012. Hetty and Michael are now teaching in local primary schools.

Michael Smith
